Classic Espresso: This one has changed every once in a while, but has always stayed true to its original intent: strong, not bitter; holds up to milk but can be drunk singly; has a bite at the finish like a gentle but emphatic hand on the back to mark the end of the experience. Currently comprised of Sumatra, Brazil, and Nicaragua, it gets its individuality from the addition of aged Nicaragua beans alongside the standard Nics. These aged beans have sat picked in their cherries for a year before they are fully processed and sent to us. This extended time in the cherry gives the bean an unmistakable dark fruit character that is funky and different from anything else we have come across. Even before roasting, these beans just smell intriguing. Comprising less than 10% of the final blend, these aged curiosities are our (now not so) secret ingredient.
